The Elder Abuse Prevention Council is seeking new membership!

We are a diverse and intergenerational group, and we welcome volunteers from all walks of life.  Our mission is to enhance the safety and well-being of older adults through the prevention of elder abuse.

The EAPC consists of many passionate, long-standing members, and we would be delighted to have you join us! There are numerous skill sets that would be enormously helpful to our Council as we move forward.  Do you have skills or strengths in any of the following areas?

  • Social Media
  • Public Relations
  • Community Building & Connecting
  • Education
  • Marketing & Promotional Design
  • Website Management & Updates
  • Volunteer Recruitment
  • Project Management
  • Public Speaking
  • Grant Applications
  • Innovation
  • Creative Writing

…and much more!

The EAPC has been meeting bi-monthly, and working groups are created as the need arises.  Council members volunteer to join working groups according to their availability and their skills.  For example, a working group was developed to plan the World Elder Abuse Day event on June 15th , 2017; a different group was developed to work on a grant application, etc.  The commitment level varies, but is primarily dependent upon how many working groups one volunteers to join.

If you are interested in joining the EAPC, please contact us through this website.  We’d love to hear from you!
